Daughters of Conjure™ is inspired by the Mississippi Delta – a region where communities have sowed their culture through centuries. The river, the swamps, and the rare fauna inspired their folklore and fed their collective imagination. They believed that magic lived amongst us – that the supernatural is indeed the natural. That the animal world is our intrinsic world. That half alligator, half human sisters exist and are our kin.
We are inspired by magic and the people who dared to connect with the otherworldly. In our founder’s case, by her matriarchs from the Mississippi Delta who were healers, nurturers, and women of immense imagination.
Through haircare, we pay homage to the streams of wisdom that have flowed from generation to generation. We honor the ancestors who taught us how to care and nurture, for every strand and every being.

We follow in the footsteps of our foremothers who embraced living close to the Earth, one of our greatest teachers. We believe in nurturing not only ourselves and our hair, but all beings in our shared world.
It is tradition in the Delta to respect and preserve nature. We are committed to using ethically sourced ingredients and not testing on animals. The horn and boar hair in our tools are byproducts, and all of our glass and paper products are recyclable. Our horn tools are biodegradable, and we actively encourage the recycling of our containers to help protect the environment.
